on all social networks today, we get to read posts on this thing called 'life'. some are funny, some poignant, some even ridiculous. everybody wants to send a thought of the day or a quote; just so that we feel better about the situation that we find ourselves in. the most recent and common one is, 'if life gives you lemons then make lemonade.' i have a couple of questions to ask this smarty pants... What if the lemons are sour? do i still make lemonade? What if i am allergic to citrus fruits? should i still take to the trouble of squeezing them and then probably falling sick? and dude... What if i don't have a jar to make lemonade in?!? What if my life is scattered like the seeds of the lemon and don't have a suitable container to hold them in?! so do i still make lemonade?
some of these sayings/quotes are so dramatic. the best ones are about the differences between men and women, husbands and wives. dude.... if we are so pathetic.... then why do you pursue us!! when you know sooooo much about the drawbacks of marriage then why the f@##$ do you even bother to go down on your knees and beg?!! you were warned well in advance by all your peers and social network buddies. so get over it and go and make that lemonade for me!!!
And whats with all these food pictures!!! My god!!! most of us don't get to eat all that delicious stuff coz our hip area is a constant war zone with cellulite. what kind of a friend are you... if you are going to blast me with gooey chocolate cake pictures and then tell me, "you look like a 70mm screen from behind". i would say to such a 'friend'... put up some recipes of how to make lemonade and let me be the judge of how it turned out.
so coming back to this thing called 'life'. i tried defining it. lets see...
